Kathleen A. Knafl receives Alumni Achievement Award

The Alumni Achievement Award honors alumni who have attained outstanding success and national or international distinction in their chosen business, profession, or life's work. Knafl's groundbreaking research has reshaped the way clinicians and researchers around the world conduct studies, pioneering research techniques that mix qualitative data with quantitative data to account for the real-life struggles families face. Knafl received her PhD from UIC Sociology in 1977. Dr. Knafl is shown below, receiving her award from UIC Chancellor Michael Amiridis at a ceremony in October.
