Timothy Adkins publishes in Bonefish & Tarpon Trust Journal

Timothy Adkins, PhD candidate, will have a summary of his research published in the Spring 2018 issue of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust Journal. The summary – part of a series intended to bring more public awareness of current research in fisheries-dependent regions – described Tim's methods and findings on how fishing tourism workers have restructured their labor in response to specific shifts in both their organizational and natural resources. This is one of the first times the journal has featured social science.

Bonefish & Tarpon Trust is a non-profit that funds science to better inform fisheries management/policy, and the summary is based on a presentation Tim delivered in November titled, “Channeling New Clientele: Changes in the Organization and Work of Florida Keys Flats Guides in Response to Social and Ecological Variation.”
