Congratulations to Amy Kate Bailey for having the book, Lynched: The Victims of Southern Mob Violence, reviewed in The American Journal of Sociology. The book, co-authored with Stewart E. Tolnay, uses census records from roughly 1,000 lynch victims to present the first broad-based portrait of the characteristics of people who were lynched in the American South.
