Our graduate students are widely recognized in a variety of ways for the work they are doing. They regularly win paper/article competitions from regional and national associations (including multiple sections of the American Sociological Association), publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, win both internal and external fellowships and receive highly competitive grants from prestigious national funding agencies (including, for example, the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship Research Program and Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement; Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship; Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowship in Women’s Studies; George S. Pillsbury Fellowship).
