Research Interests
Aidé Hernández is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology and is a Crossing Latinidades Mellon Fellow. Aidé’s research focuses on the experiences of Latines in higher education with a focus on social media networks. Her current research uses interviews and digital ethnography to better understand the experiences of Latina graduate students including challenges and supports. Her work encompasses Latino/a Sociology, Higher Education, Organizations and race and ethnicity.
